On the morning of January 27, a delegation from Champasak Province (Lao People’s Democratic Republic), led by Mr. Souksavanh Vilayvong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Administrative Committee, visited Dak Lak to extend greetings for the Vietnamese Lunar New Year.
The delegation was welcomed by Ta Anh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, along with representatives from various provincial departments and sectors.

During the meeting, Chairman Ta Anh Tuan expressed gratitude to the Champasak delegation for their visit and New Year wishes to Dak Lak Province on the occasion of the Lunar New Year . He also provided information on the socio-economic situation of the province in 2025.

Chairman Ta Anh Tuan emphasized that the province highly values its ties with Lao localities, especially Champasak. He hoped for continued synergy to effectively realize the signed Memorandum of Understanding, further deepening political trust and mutual understanding.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, Chairman Ta Anh Tuan extended his best wishes for health, happiness, and success to Mr. Souksavanh Vilayvong and the members of the Champasak delegation. He wished for continued stable development for Champasak Province, improved living conditions for its people, and a lasting, steadfast, and continuously developing relationship of solidarity and friendship between Dak Lak and Champasak.
In his remarks, Mr. Souksavanh Vilayvong expressed appreciation for the warm welcome extended by Dak Lak Province to the delegation and conveyed the best New Year wishes to the Party Committee, government, and people of Dak Lak. He also expressed joy at the positive results achieved by Dak Lak Province and the cooperation outcomes between the two provinces in recent times.

In his remarks, Mr. Souksavanh Vilayvong expressed deep appreciation for the warm hospitality extended by Dak Lak Province, conveying his best New Year wishes to the local Party Committee, government, and people. He also lauded the province's socio-economic achievements and the fruitful cooperation between the two localities in recent years.
He affirmed that these achievements have significantly bolstered the traditional friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations. Looking ahead, Champasak Province will continue to implement and review review the contents to promote the cooperation program for the period 2026-2030, further consolidating the special bond between the two provinces.
Since the signing of the Development Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding on December 29, 2021, the bilateral relationship has yielded practical results. Key highlights include the regular exchange of high-level delegations, successful cultural events, and effective collaboration in education—particularly in supporting Champasak students in Dak Lak. Furthermore, people-to-people diplomacy and support for the Vietnamese community in Champasak have remained top priorities.

Looking toward 2026, both provinces committed to the continued and effective implementation of the cooperation Memorandum through December 29, 2026. Key priorities include: facilitating specialized working delegations in agriculture, education, tourism, and investment; and encouraging businesses to survey and invest in high-potential sectors such as rubber, agro-processing, logistics, and eco-tourism. Furthermore, the two sides will continue to support Champasak students in Dak Lak while improving international student management. Both localities also aim to explore new cooperation in healthcare and youth exchanges, further solidifying the bond of special solidarity.
