Mondulkiri province delegation pays courtesy visit to Dak Lak leader

On the morning of January 9th, 2026, a working delegation from Mondulkiri Province, Kingdom of Cambodia, led by Mr. Loun So Pheap, Deputy Governor of Mondulkiri Province, paid a courtesy visit to the leader of Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee. The reception was chaired by Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee Ta Anh Tuan, together with the participation of leaders of relevant departments and agencies.

At the meeting, Mr. Loun So Pheap, Deputy Governor of Mondulkiri Province, praised enterprises from Dak Lak Province for their investments in local projects, saying these efforts have helped improve workers’ livelihoods and support social welfare. He added that Mondulkiri hopes businesses from Dak Lak will continue to expand successful models, provide technical support and seedlings, and purchase local products, contributing to the Mondulkiri Province’s socio-economic development.

Based on the signed cooperation agreements, Deputy Governor of Mondulkiri Province said the local authorities are ready to create favorable conditions for businesses from Dak Lak Province to conduct surveys, explore investment opportunities, and implement projects in Mondulkiri. He noted that these efforts are expected to boost budget revenues, improve living standards for local residents, and strengthen long-term cooperation between the two provinces.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee Ta Anh Tuan reaffirmed the relations between Dak Lak and Mondulkiri provinces have continued to grow stronger. He said the visit by the Mondulkiri delegation was especially meaningful in deepening cooperation, particularly in the context of recent administrative reorganization and the impact of natural disasters in Dak Lak.

The Chairman expressed his hope that the two provinces would work more closely to facilitate the operation of the international border gate in order to boost trade and economic exchanges in the coming time, thereby helping Dak Lak achieve its target of double-digit economic growth.

He also emphasized the need for closer cooperation in border management, including preventing illegal crossings and ensuring security and order in the border area. In addition, both sides agreed to strengthen coordination in the search for and repatriation of the remains of fallen soldiers from past wars, contributing to the further strengthening of the traditional Viet Nam - Cambodia friendship in a sustainable and lasting manner.
