In the joyful atmosphere of the early days of Tet Binh Ngo 2026 - the first spring following the very successful 14th Party Congress, speaking at the visit and Tet greetings to the Party Committee, government and people of Dak Lak province, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the Central Government’s work with Dak Lak aims to unify determination for action, establish specific requirements for the first year of the term, and set new standards for responsibility, implementation effectiveness and the province’s role in the country’s new development phase.

General Secretary To Lam and Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung presented gifts to exemplary village elders and hamlet chiefs.
According to the General Secretary, the results achieved in 2025 clearly reflect the resolve, great efforts and high sense of responsibility of the Party Committee, the authorities and the people of Dak Lak province. The central government acknowledges and highly appreciates the province's efforts and outcomes.
However, building on this foundation, the requirement for the next period is not only to overcome difficulties but to achieve a more decisive breakthrough commensurate with the province's potential and strategic position. The General Secretary emphasized the need to fundamentally renew the development mindset, shifting from managing localities to creating strategic development spaces.
Dak Lak must establish a hub role connecting the Central Highlands with the South Central Coast, the border areas and national economic corridors. All masterplans and major projects must be placed within the overall regional and national development framework. On that basis, the province should organize its development space along the "highlands - coast - border" axis, taking strategic infrastructure as the pillar. Transport, logistics, energy and digital infrastructure must serve as tools to organize economic flows, value chains and the defense-security posture, forming growth poles and new development belts for the province.

General Secretary To Lam presented gifts and extended New Year greetings to people with meritorious services and families entitled to policy benefits.
The General Secretary requested building a new growth model aimed at rapid but high-quality, deep and highly resilient growth, based on reorganizing development flows. The province must decisively shift its model from relying on resource extraction and raw agriculture to upgrading value chains, taking deep processing industry, renewable energy, the marine economy, high-quality tourism and the digital economy as drivers. Development must be closely linked to forest protection, the ecological environment and the sustainable livelihoods of ethnic minority communities. At the same time, the province should regard Central Highlands culture and maritime culture as invaluable assets and endogenous resources for development, to be preserved, maintained in their identity, and proactively and selectively promoted; it should also create conditions for culture to live in contemporary life, contributing practically to socio-economic development and strengthening the great unity of the entire people.

Representatives of banks donated funds to build 300 houses for poor and disadvantaged households.
The province must pay attention to resolutely removing institutional bottlenecks, focusing on land for agricultural and forestry enterprises, while substantially improving the business environment; this is both an economic development requirement and an issue of political-social stability and strengthening the people’s trust.
The General Secretary pointed out the need to strongly develop the private economy, considering it one of the most important drivers of growth. The province must actively promote its business community to be strong both in number and in competitiveness. Special attention should be paid to the business environment for household businesses and small and micro enterprises to develop and create jobs, as this is the foundation for social stability.
In addition, the province will focus on developing human resources and improving the quality of Dak Lak’s people; place science and technology, digital transformation, and innovation at the core of the human resource development strategy; put improving people’s living standards and their happiness at the center of all development policies; and ensure inclusive, sustainable development while preserving the province’s distinctive cultural identity.

General Secretary To Lam and the Central delegation took a commemorative photo with the leaders of Dak Lak province.
General Secretary To Lam emphasized that Dak Lak is a land that gathers deep history, a distinctive cultural identity, and a strong tradition of solidarity among the brotherly ethnic groups. Through the country’s most difficult times, this place has always been a firm support in politics, national defense, and popular trust; the will to overcome hardships and the spirit of community cohesion have been cultivated over many generations. The Central authorities expect Dak Lak to play a more proactive role in the national development framework, not only as a pillar of political and social stability but also as a distinctive development space that makes clear contributions and assumes responsibility for the country’s major goals.
The General Secretary believes that the Party Committee, the government, and the people of Dak Lak province will turn their potential into concrete development capacity, create new momentum and impetus, and lead the province into a more stable, more effective, and more deserving stage of development.
