Dak Lak Provincial Leaders receive JETRO Delegation

On the morning of December 23, at the Provincial People’s Committee headquarters, Vice Chairman Truong Cong Thai held a reception for a delegation from the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Ho Chi Minh City office, led by Chief Representative Mr. Okabe Mitsutoshi, during their working visit to the province.
The meeting saw the attendance of representatives from the Provincial People’s Committee Office and leadership from the Departments of Finance, Industry and Trade, Internal Affairs, Construction, Agriculture and Rural Development, Education and Training, and Culture, Sports and Tourism.

During the reception, Vice Chairman Truong Cong Thai expressed his pleasure in welcoming the JETRO delegation and highly commended the organization's pivotal role in fostering economic cooperation, investment, and trade between Japan and Vietnamese localities, particularly Dak Lak.
The provincial leader provided an overview of Dak Lak’s 2025 socio-economic performance, highlighting the province’s competitive advantages in high-tech agriculture, agro-processing, renewable energy, tourism, and infrastructure development. He expressed his hope that JETRO would continue to facilitate connections, introducing Japanese enterprises to explore the local investment environment and implement strategic projects in the near future.

Reaffirming the province's consistent commitment to investment attraction, Vice Chairman Truong Cong Thai assured that the Provincial People’s Committee would always accompany and create the most favorable conditions for Japanese investors. He emphasized the province’s focus on improving the investment climate, streamlining administrative procedures, and providing timely support to ensure long-term, effective, and sustainable partnerships.
In response, Mr. Okabe Mitsutoshi, Chief Representative of JETRO Ho Chi Minh City, expressed his deep gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by the provincial leadership.

Mr. Okabe Mitsutoshi also conveyed his sincere sympathies to the government and people of Dak Lak regarding the recent flood damages. He expressed confidence that, under the proactive guidance of provincial leaders and the collective efforts of all sectors, Dak Lak would swiftly overcome these challenges, stabilize livelihoods, and continue its path of sustainable development.
The JETRO representative emphasized that the organization highly values its partnership with Vietnamese localities. JETRO stands ready to promote information exchange and connect Japanese firms to explore sectors where Dak Lak possesses spotential and advantages. He also requested that provincial leaders continue to support favorable mechanisms, policies, and infrastructure, enabling Japanese businesses to confidently conduct research and commit to long-term investment in the region.
