Chairman of Dak Lak PPC receives outgoing Mongolian Ambassador

On the morning of April 17, Mr Do Huu Huy, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC), received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Vietnam Jigjee Sereejav with his spouse as he paid a farewell call at the end of his term in Vietnam. The meeting saw the presence of leaders of the Officce of the Provincial People’s Committee, relevant departments.

At the meeting, Mr Do Huu Huy, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Dak Lak PPC highly appreciated the Ambassador’s positive contributions to promoting the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Mongolia. In particular, the Ambassador has consistently paid attention to fostering connections with localities, including Dak Lak. A notable example is that in 2024, a Dak Lak-based enterprise successfully exported bananas to the Mongolian market.

On the basis of the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Mongolia, Dak Lak and Orkhon have established initial connections. The Chairman of Dak Lak PPC affirmed that Dak Lak has significant potential to expand cooperation with partners from Mongolia in areas such as large-scale agriculture, agro-processing, trade in goods, as well as tourism and people-to-people exchanges. Accordingly, he expressed his hope that, through the Ambassador’s facilitation, more Mongolian enterprises would come to explore opportunities, invest, alongside establish provincial long-term partnerships. Dak Lak remains committed to providing the most favourable conditions to ensure such effective and sustainable cooperation.

Congratulating the Mongolian Ambassador Jigjee Sereejav on the successful completion of his tenure in Viet Nam, Mr Do Huu Huy expressed his confidence that, in his new role, the Ambassador will continue to make meaningful contributions to strengthening bilateral cooperation, thereby further enhancing the long-standing traditional ties between the two countries.

For his part, the Mongolian Ambassador Jigjee Sereejav expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome extended by the Provincial People’s Committee. He affirmed that, in his new role, he will continue to make every effort to further foster the strong friendship between Mongolia and Viet Nam, while promoting trade and tourism activities and facilitating the introduction of Dak Lak’s key agricultural products to the Mongolian market.
