Dak Lak has achieved significant progress in strengthening its external relations, with priority to consolidating traditional partnerships and expanding international cooperation, thus improving its standing and driving sustainable development.
Dak Lak recorded notable progress in its external relations, particularly in the context of administrative adjustments and and the continuation of previously signed international agreements. External affairs activities were implemented in a comprehensive and coordinated manner, covering the management of inbound and outbound delegations, the signing of cooperation agreements, trade and investment promotion, and the organisation of international events.

Dak Lak has prioritised the consolidation of traditional relations with localities in Laos and Cambodia, alongside efforts to broaden engagement with other international partners.
The cooperation with Mondulkiri province (Cambodia) has been further strengthened through cultural exchanges, support for border communities, and enhanced cooperation between relevant organisations, contributing to peace, friendship and stability along the shared border.
Meanwhile, the relationsship with southern provinces of Laos have deepened through newly signed agreements and regular high-level delegation exchanges. The province has also expanded cooperation in human resource training, received Lao students for study programmes, and implemented practical initiatives such as technical support in coffee cultivation, reinforcing long-standing solidarity and friendship.

At the same time, Dak Lak has diversified its international cooperation, achieving positive outcomes with partners from the Republic of Korea, France, Mongolia, and India, among others.
Labour cooperation programmes with the Republic of Korea have continued to deliver tangible results, creating employment opportunities and improving incomes for local workers.

Efforts to promote investment, trade, and the province’s international profile have been strengthened through overseas missions and participation in international conferences. Provincial delegations have visited multiple countries to explore cooperation opportunities, expand markets, and mobilise resources for development.
In the coming period, Dak Lak will continue to strengthen external relations and expand international cooperation under Plan No. 0137/KH-UBND on implementing international integration in the new context, with the aim of enhancing its international position and promoting sustainable development.
