Dak Lak PPC Vice Chairman receives Korea’s FAD Foundation

On June 11 morning, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee (PPC) Truong Cong Thai received a delegation from the Foundation for the Amenity Development (FAD) of the Republic of Korea, headed by Chairman Mun Hyun. The meeting was also attended by leaders of the PPC’s Office and Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Finance; Industry and Trade; Home Affairs.
At the working session, the two sides discussed cooperation programmes between Dak Lak and Korean localities, cooperation opportunities in the labour sector, including the deployment of seasonal workers. They also considered cultural exchange activities, investment promotion efforts, and other areas of collaboration aligned with FAD's fields of operation.

Speaking at the meeting, PPC Vice Chairman Truong Cong Thai highlighted Dak Lak’s considerable potential across agriculture, renewable energy, processing industries combined with logistics. With an expanded development space and a coastline stretching approximately 190 kilometres, the province is well positioned for deep-water seaport development, heavy industry alongside modern logistics services.
Cooperation between Dak Lak and localities in the Republic of Korea has been maintained for nearly two decades, spanning such areas as economic development, culture, education and labour. Each year, the province sends workers to the Republic of Korea for both seasonal employment and long-term contract, while also supplying coffee and other key agricultural products to Korean partners.
The PPC Vice Chairman expressed hope that FAD would serve as a bridge to connect Korean corporations and businesses interested in investing in Dak Lak, particularly in such areas as renewable energy, petrochemical refining and deep-water seaports. He also extended an invitation to FAD Chairman Mun Hyun to attend the Conference on Announcement of Master Plan and the Investment Promotion of Dak Lak Province, scheduled for June 26 and 27.

For his part, FAD Chairman Mun Hyun shared that, through its extensive network across Korea, FAD has been actively promoting Dak Lak’s image and potential to Korean businesses and localities. He affirmed that FAD is always ready to serve as a focal point for arranging economic and cultural exchange opportunities between the two sides.
Mr. Mun Hyun also noted that Korean partners highly appreciate Dak Lak’s coordination in labour management and deployment in recent years. Local authorities and employers in Haenam County have recognised the improving quality of workers from Dak Lak, encouraging efforts to expand this cooperation model to other localities in Korea.
